Home Free: Paying Off Our Forever Home
In 2018, CASA of McLennan County launched a campaign, Forever Home, to raise funds for a permanent space to serve children. At that time, CASA purchased and renovated our current space, which has been our home since 2019.
The CASA office not only houses our staff team, but provides space for families to have supervised visitation with their children, as well as a training space for advocates and meeting spaces. CASA is grateful for such a versatile space to meet out our needs as we meet needs in our community.
At this time, CASA has a small building loan remaining from the original purchase of the property totaling just under $40,000. Once this loan is paid off, CASA of McLennan County will be completely debt free! This will free up valuable resources to continue serving our community. Additionally, this campaign includes funds to refresh interior paint, replace our exterior keypad entry, and begin to set funds aside for major repairs and replacements to the building and property that are expected in the next couple of years, such as replacing AC units, fencing, and parking lot surfacing.
