Crawfish for CASA Goes VIRTUAL!

Donate to Crawfish for CASA and make a difference in a child's life!

This year we are going virtual. You can support this fundraiser when you EAT at participating local restaurants, BID on our online auction items, WATCH our live stream event April 16th, and DONATE to help support our work advocating for children in foster care.

You can find out all the details about this year's virtual events here: http://bit.ly/crawfish4casa

Your support makes a significant impact in the lives of our area's most vulnerable youth. Join us in our mission to provide a CASA advocate for every child who needs one in our community.

CASA volunteers are everyday people – teachers, business people, retirees, stay-at-home parents, and grandparents – who are committed to making a difference for children who might otherwise slip through the cracks in an overburdened foster care system. They are appointed by judges to guide one child or one set of siblings through the system to safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible. CASA volunteers research records and speak to each person involved in a child’s life, including family members, caretakers, caseworkers, teachers, doctors, lawyers and social workers. They monitor the progress of the child and family throughout the case and advocate for the child’s current and future needs in court, in school and in agency meetings. Each CASA’s independent court report allows the court to make better-informed decisions regarding the circumstances of each child.
